Frequently asked

    Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before showing up to a Link & Chill event. Still stuck? Email anupriya.roy@linkandchill.com.

    • What is Link & Chill?

Link & Chill is a real-life social meetup community in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune. We run small, curated events — speed friending, board game nights, hikes, brunches, rooftop socials and community trips — for people who want to actually build a social life, not just collect Instagram followers.

    • How do I join an event?

Browse upcoming events on our events page, pick one that looks good, and RSVP. If the event has a ticket price, you'll pay during signup. You'll receive event details (venue, time, what to bring) once your spot is confirmed.

    • Do I need to come with a friend?

No — most people come alone. Every event has a built-in structure (a run, a game night, a dinner with seats) so you're never the person standing alone holding a drink. Coming solo is the default, not the exception.

    • Who shows up to Link & Chill events?

Most attendees are 22–35, working in tech, design, finance, consulting or media. Usually people who recently moved to a new city, or who are tired of the same three friends. Everyone is verified before they can RSVP.

    • Which cities do you run events in?

We currently run events in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune. Each city has its own regular cadence of meetups — see the Mumbai, Bangalore or Pune pages for upcoming events in that city.

    • How much do events cost?

Pricing varies by event — some are free, most are between ₹299 and ₹999, and community trips are priced separately. Verified community members get discounted member pricing on most paid events.

    • How do I pay for an event?

Paid events accept UPI. After you RSVP, you'll see the UPI ID and a QR code to pay. Submit the transaction reference and we mark your spot as confirmed once the payment is verified by an admin.

    • Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?

Yes — you can cancel up to 48 hours before the event starts and we'll refund the amount to your original UPI account. Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable since the venue and headcount are locked in.

    • Why do I need to be verified before I can RSVP?

We ask for your Instagram or LinkedIn handle so admins can confirm you're a real person before letting you into a small-group event. This is what keeps the room safe and the vibe right. Verification usually happens within a few hours.

    • What if no events are open in my city right now?

We post new events every week. Sign up with your email so we can let you know when the next batch lands, or follow @linkandchill on Instagram for the heads-up.

    • Can I host or partner on an event?

Yes — venues, brands and creators can partner with us on events. See our Work With Us page for what we're open to, or email anupriya.roy@linkandchill.com.

    • Is it safe for women to come alone?

Yes — and this is the question we get asked most. Every attendee is verified via Instagram or LinkedIn before they can RSVP, all events happen in public venues with hosts on the floor, group sizes are small (typically 8–16 people), and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any creepy behavior — one report and the person is permanently banned with no refund. Over half of our regular attendees are solo women.

    • What's the age range at events?

Most of our general events skew 22–35. We also run a 45+ Club for the 45-and-up crowd with smaller, curated meetups. If you're outside the 22–35 band and worried about fitting in, look at the event's description — venue and format usually signal the vibe (a Friday rooftop social skews younger; a Sunday book club skews 28+).

    • Are events alcohol-free or do you drink?

Mixed. Some events are explicitly alcohol-free (hikes, daytime brunches, board game days), others happen in venues that serve drinks (rooftop socials, dinner meetups). Each event page lists the venue, so you can pick what fits. Drinking is never the activity — it's incidental, not central.

    • What should I wear?

Smart casual works for almost everything. Daytime hikes and trips have their own dress codes (check the event page). For evening socials, brunches, and game nights — wear what you'd wear to meet a friend at a nice café. There's no dress code we enforce; people show up however they're comfortable.

    • Where exactly do you host events in each city?

Bangalore — Indiranagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout and Whitefield are our most-used neighborhoods. Mumbai — Bandra, Andheri, Powai. Pune — Koregaon Park, Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar. The exact venue is shared with confirmed attendees ~48 hours before each event.

    • How do I become a Community Member with discounted pricing?

Attend a few events first (we currently invite members based on engagement rather than a paid tier). Community members get reduced pricing on most paid events, early access to limited-spot trips, and an invite to the private members channel. Reach out after 2–3 events and we'll loop you in.

    • Can I attend if I just moved to the city?

Yes — that's literally why most people come. Roughly 70% of our regular attendees say they joined within their first 12 months of moving to Bangalore, Mumbai or Pune. New-to-city events and casual brunches are especially designed for this group.

    • I have a question that's not answered here.

Email anupriya.roy@linkandchill.com or DM @linkandchill on Instagram. We reply to everything.
